Hatching Sands

Large and spacious, the sands of the FGPC WeyrHall is able to undertake any clutch size; including the 140-sized clutch from the end of the Tenth Pass (a clutch that had the sands of the Weyr cramped). The walls are high and the ledges are spacious for any dragon that may wish to watch the events below. Their is no natural lighting in the Hatching Grounds. Lighting is provided by the huge Illuminator Systems (IS) that are powered by solar panels. They are only turned on when a clutch is on the sands. The entrance to the sands is the same as the entrance to the Lower Caverns thus the there is a constant breeze in the Grounds. The cavern is huge, nearly three dragonlengths (60 ft) high which gives the second level of the Caverns a good view of the sands from the Second Hall.

WeyrHall Stables

The stables is able to stall up to eleven horses and runners. While it may not be the most fancy stable next to Rous Hold's stables, it provides decent sized stalls for beasts belonging to candidates that could not leave them behind. The stables is run by Benjamin Davis, the brother of Catharine Evans, nigth green Ayitath's rider. While Ben, who came from Virginina during the end of the American Civil War, does not have any Pernese craft training in the beast craft, he is still well learned in runnin a stable.
There are two pastures and three turnouts that are used. |
